Bob Nixon, the Designer
of the Gremlin |

Mr. Nixon, at the age of
23 and a new employee at AMC played a key role in the design the
Gremlin. Below is a copy
of the original sketch done by Mr. Nixon in 1967 for the Gremlin.
You can see some features that did not show up until to the
'74 model year.
Later in his career at American Motors Corporation was the Chief of
Design. He attended the 2003 AMO Nationals in Lansing, MI.
It was a honor to meet him and his family. It was obvious that he
still has a soft spot in his heart for the Gremlin. |
